Carole Edmark
Yoga Teacher
Carole began practicing yoga in her mid-50s after spending decades developing tight hamstrings and hip flexors while sitting at a desk while working in healthcare administration. She initially added yoga to her exercise regime to gain flexibility and calm her type A personality… but now the practice means so much more to her. To her, yoga is about making space: space in our joints, space between our vertebrae, space in our hearts, and space in our minds.
Carole is passionate about making yoga accessible to every body–regardless of age, size, shape, or ability. Carole encourages students to start where they are and enjoy making slow, steady progress with consistent practice. In her classes, you can expect mindful meditation, breath work, asana practice and savasana. The goal is to get a little more comfortable with the uncomfortable, and to feel great when finished.
When not teaching or practicing yoga, Carole enjoys walking the Des Plaines River Trail, riding her bike that goes nowhere, strength training, paddle-boarding, cooking and traveling; with Key West and Phoenix (and her two grandchildren) being some of her favorite destinations.
Carole is very grateful to be part of the TBY Yoga team.
